There is an alternative to the long list of tools appearing on your IVLE workspace. Instead of publishing each tool separately, you can make use of the Lesson Plan to consolidate the tools under the weekly or topical Lesson Plan.
An IVLE workspace for a module typically looks like the screenshot below.

Contrast this with the Lesson Plan way - similar to what your students will see - shown below. The individual tools have not disappeared. Instead, they appear in context in the Lesson Plan, either by week or by topic.

If a Lesson Plan exists, it is usually underutilized, as shown in the following screenshot:
Utilizing the Lesson Plan fully, various tools can be displayed within the respective weeks columns or topics. These tools can be unpublished from the IVLE workspace while still appearing in the Lesson Plan, resulting in a clutter-free workspace:
A fully utilized Lesson Plan (shown above) demonstrates the organizational benefit of using this method. It gives you more control in your teaching and provides students with structure. The tools and resources can further be allocated specifically to lesson events such as tutorials, seminars, workshops or other contact time.
Other benefits of using the Lesson Plan way:
1. You can control which week to display and when to display the information to the students.
2. Students can make post-it notes against each week when they access your Lesson Plan.
Quick steps to utilizing the Lesson Plan method:
1. Create a Lesson Plan if you have not done so.
2. Fill in the lesson information for each week, adding the respective tools and resources.
3. Unpublish the tools that appear in the Lesson Plan so that they do not appear in the My Module workspace.
