CIT offers conferencing services in various formats:
All three allow you to hold meetings with people who are located elsewhere. In NUS, conferencing is used for elearning, formal and informal meetings, paper presentations, research collaboration, focus group discussions, hosting guest speakers who cannot be present on location and many other situations.
In a web conference, participants use their own computers to engage in a live two-way audio (and video) conversation. For more complex meetings, there are also text chat, share presentation/desktop and annotation functions.
Video conferences allow participants to meet others world-wide, without having to leave campus. The video conferences are held in specialised video conference locations throughout NUS campuses.
CIT facilitates multi-party video conferences. Faculty and School AV/IT Units support video conferences in their respective video conferencing facilities.
Multi-mode conferencing allows you to connect to a video conference without the need of a specific room or video conferencing equipment. Users can attend video conferences via apps on their mobile devices.
