Influenza A (H1N1) Preparedness - eLearning
eLearning during a pandemic
A flu pandemic situation demands flexibility if teaching and learning are to carry on. CIT recommends the following so that lessons can carry on if you or your students cannot come to campus.
Note that creating a totally online learning mode demands much dedication and effort in order to reach or exceed face-to-face effectiveness, so expectations of eLearning have to be tempered.

Basic Requirements
All NUS modules must have a presence in IVLE.
These tools are simple to use and easy to deploy. They should be the foundation of any eLearning efforts in NUS. CIT recommends the following tools in IVLE for the respective purposes:
Module Administration |
Communication |
|
|
Lectures |
Tutorials |
|
|
Once these tools are created, they can be pulled into IVLE's Lesson Plan. This is a week-by-week view of all the various components of the course. It will help you to be organised while allowing the students to have a overview of the module.
Intermediate Steps
Academic staff who are tech-savvy can also consider additional ways to enhance online teaching and learning:

Communication & Collaboration |

External Services
Academic staff might require specific features not available in CIT-run services or already be comfortable with certain external services. While CIT does not impose any restrictions on these, we do not provide user support nor guarantee their availability.
