The NUS Galleria stores audio, video and photographs for archival purposes. In technical terms, NUS Galleria is a Digital Asset Management System or a media repository.

CIT encourages NUS schools, faculties and departments to archive their digital media assets in the NUS Galleria. This will enable the university to build a rich, shared resource of videos, photographs and sound clips which may be repurposed or which have heritage value in themselves.

The following media types are supported:

• Video: mpeg1/2, avi, wmv, asf
• Audio: wma, mp3
• Images: jpg, tiff, bmp

 

NUS Galleria also allows your source materials to be retrieved. The uploaded videos, for example, are tagged with information regarding their production, which enables CIT to retrieve the high-quality source video.
