* Students are reminded to get the Turnitin Class ID and Enrollment Password from their lecturer in order to enroll into a Turnitin Class once they login to the system.
Instructions for Students & Faculty Members
If you are new to the service, please follow the instructions below.
Students
- Before logging into Turnitin, be sure to get the Class ID and Enrollment
Password from your lecturer.
- Choose 'Student' in the Login form (above).
Key in your NUSNET (i.e. NUS email) User
ID and its password. Click the 'Enter Turnitin' button.
- After logging in to Turnitin, click the link to Enroll in a Class by using the Class ID
and Enrollment Password provided.
- On entering the Class homepage, click the relevant assignment folder to open it.
Submit your document by following the instructions as provided by Turnitin.
- Once the Originality Report is ready, click on the report icon to view the Similarity Index. If the icon is grayed out, it means that the Report has not been generated. *In some cases, it can take a few hours for the processing of your submission.
Faculty
- Choose 'Faculty Member' in the Login form (above). Key in your NUSNET (i.e. NUS email) User ID and its password. Click the 'Enter Turnitin' button.
- Once you login to Turnitin, you need to create a Class. Note down the Class ID (a number generated by Turnitin) and the Enrollment Password that you entered for this Class.
- Create an Assignment folder within the Class. Your students will need to upload their submissions into this folder. Set the opening and closing dates along with other parameters as required.
- Distribute the Class ID and Enrollment Password to your students. Also instruct them to upload their documents to the relevant folder within the Class.
- Inform your students about this page (http://cit.nus.edu.sg/plagiarism/) from where they need to first login to the service by submitting their NUSNET (i.e. NUS email) User ID and password, using the Login form (above).
To view the Originality Reports of the submissions:
- Click on the 'inbox' icon for the Assignment.
- Click on the Originality Report icon for any submission.
- If you wish to exclude any of the sources from the Report, click on the 'x' icon next to the listing.
